General Information

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the provisions of federal data protection legislation ("Datenschutzgesetz DSG"), everyone has the right to the protection of their privacy, as well as to protection from misuse of their personal details. Ampegon comply with these provisions. Personal data and privacy information are treated as strictly confidential and is neither passed on nor sold to third parties.

Which data will be collected and processed?

The following data will be collected and processed by us:

Base Data

Base data is all data which was entered by you during registration, f.e. your username, email address, birthdate and gender. We're using this data internally to allocate the access to your account. We don't sell this data to third parties.

Device Information

For regular use we collect some data of your device. These includes but not limited to the device id, hardware details (f.e. screen resolution) and music files which were selected by you for upload. Information about hardware details is needed to fix errors/crashes which were caused by the app during runtime. We submit this data (f.e. date, CPU, screen resolution, operating system) to third party services that collect all information. We don't send any base data to third party services.

We're able to send your device id to our ad partners to optimize our ad campaigns.

Usage Data

While using the Muzica app, we will save and collect some usage data. We only save relevant data to improve the user experience, f.e. how often you've listened to a song. With this information, we can create a private music profile to suggest you songs of your friends. We only use this data internally, we don't sell it to third parties.

Duration of Storage

We store your data on our servers until the day you'll cancel your account.

What permissions are required?

To use all functions of Muzica, you may grant the following permissions:

Internet Access

We need internet access to enable upload and download of your music files. Without this access, Muzica can't work properly.

Storage Access

To enable offline mode, we need access to your device storage. We're also using it to cache files and upload all files which were selected by you to our cloud servers. We don't upload any other files to our servers.

Microphone Access

To play all music files properly, we need access to your microphone. This access is required by a third party plugin which supports our media player. We don't create any recordings.

Device Information Accesss

To get the current state of your device, we need to access some general device information. This is useful for some features, f.e. to play cloud files only, if you have activated WiFi. We also send some parameters to third party services to collect data about app failures.

Change of the Privacy Policy

We're able to change this privacy policy at any time. In most of the cases, we'll send you an information by email or app notification. With the further usage of our service, you'll agree automatically to the updated privacy policy. If you don't want to accept the new policy, you can cancel your account at any time you want. Just send an email to info@muzica.io or delete your account in our app.
